Mardin features well-preserved ancient architecture, winding streets, and the Deyrulzafaran Monastery. Diyarbakır city walls joined to UNESCO heritage list recently. Şanlıurfa is home to Göbeklitepe, world’s oldest temple, and the pool of sacred fish with its local legends. Nemrut ( Mount Nemrut ) is renowned for its colossal statues and the tomb of king Antiochus I, best viewed at the sunrise or sunset.
